About the dancers of the Tanzcompagnie Gießen

Izabella Anastasiou kommt aus Zypern Sie trainierte zunächst als Turnerin im Heimatland, um später sich dem Tanz zu widmen. Mit der Diastasis Dance Company tanzte sie in Zypern, England und Israel. Zur Weiterbildung, ging sie nach Rom für die professionelle Ausbildung an der Dance Art Faculty (DAF). Dort sammelte sie mitunter choreographische Erfahrungen mit Mauro Astolfi, Sagi Gross und Sandra Marin Garcia. Mitglied der Tanzcompagnie Gießen ist sie seit dieser Spielzeit.

Izabella Anastasiou hails from Cyprus. She first trained as a gymnast in her home country before devoting herself to dance. She has danced in Cyprus, England and Israel with the Diastasis Dance Company. She continued her education in Rome where she trained professionally at the Dance Art Faculty (DAF). While there, she gained choreographic experience with Mauro Astolfi, Sagi Gross and Sandra Marin Garcia. She became a member of the Tanzcompagnie Giessen this season.

Mona-Lisa Rigal, geboren in Frankreich, erhielt ihre Ausbildung zur Tänzerin zuerst am "Centre International de la danse Rosella Hightower" in Cannes und anschließend an der „École de danse de l’Opéra nationale“ in Paris. Dort tanzte sie in Choreographien u.a. von Maurice Béjart, Georges Balanchine und Rudolf Nurejew. Ihr erstes Engagement führte sie 2017/18 zum "Jeune Ballet de Cannes", wo sie als Solistin unter anderem in Stücken von Maurice Béjart oder Christophe Maillot zu sehen war. In der Spielzeit 2018/2019 kam sie als Nachwuchstänzerin zur Delattre Dance Company in Mainz, bei der sie ein weiteres Jahr fest engagiert war. Seit September 2020 ist sie Mitglied der Tanzcompagnie Gießen.

Mona-Lisa Rigal was born in France and first trained as a dancer at the “Centre International de la danse Rosella Hightower” in Cannes and subsequently at the “École de danse de l'Opéra nationale” in Paris. While there, she danced in choreographies by Maurice Béjart, Georges Balanchine and Rudolf Nureyev, among others. Her first engagement took her to the “Jeune Ballet de Cannes” in 2017/18, where she performed as a soloist in pieces by Maurice Béjart and Christophe Maillot, among others. She joined the Delattre Dance Company in Mainz as an up-and-coming dancer during the 2018/2019 season, where she was permanently engaged for a second year. She has been a member of the Tanzcompagnie Giessen since September 2020.

Madeleine Salhany stammt aus Ottawa/Kanada und wurde von 2015 bis 2019 am Konservatorium für Tanz/Purchase College der State University of New York ausgebildet. Weiterführende Studien führten sie an die Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Perth/Australien, ans Nederlands Dans Theater und zu Arts Umbrella in Vancouver. 2019 erhielt sie ihr erstes Engagement bei Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, wo sie in Andonis Foniadakis und Ihsam Rustems LEONARD COHEN´S DANCE ME und Itzik Galilis O BALCAO DE AMOR zu sehen war. Im Oktober 2020 wurde sie als Nachwuchstänzerin in die Tanzcompagnie Gießen übernommen und gehört ihr nun als vollwertiges Mitglied an.

Madeleine Salhany is from Ottawa, Canada, she trained at the Conservatory of Dance/Purchase College of the State University of New York from 2015 to 2019. Further studies led her to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in Perth, Australia, to the Nederlands Dans Theater and to Arts Umbrella in Vancouver. In 2019 she received her first engagement with Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, where she performed in Andonis Foniadakis and Ihsam Rustem’s LEONARD COHEN’S DANCE ME and Itzik Galili's O BALCAO DE AMOR. In October 2020 she joined the Tanzcompagnie Giessen as a junior dancer and is now a full member.
